Communal disharmony on Orkut

Posted by : on September 26, 2008 – 9:34 am2 Comments

After series of bomb blasts in India’s different cities killing hundreds of innocent people has also sparked confusion and panic among people of India, before continuing let me enlighten you that India was once known as a “Golden Bird” and today it is world’s largest democratic country and 2nd largest populated after China and one of the top listed developing country. None of countries of the world would be so much colorful and exciting with so many festivals, people, delicacies and custom as India has.

Now, I am coming back to the topic. Aftermath of the blasts is a panic and question raised in everyone’s mind that who is behind these blasts? Let me be very straight that Hindus are blaming on Muslims and Muslims are blaming on government and police for framing the whole community as terrorists and doing one sided enquiry. But in this wrestle of pointing fingers on each other I think we forgot the time before Independent…ah! I am crazy!, how you would know that time? We just know to remember those who fought for freedom on 15th August and 26th January by singing 2-3 songs in schools, colleges or our office premises.

But fact is that more than 60 years before some people were on policy of “Divide and Rule” and even today that’s the most preferred policy of enemies of India. No solution ever came from war, terror or oppression and  you can confirm the history or if you still remember your school’s history book.

You must be wondering that why I am writing such a seriously unexpected and an off topic issue on a blog like OrkutHeroes which was featuring interviews and reviews on orkut users and communities?

Certainly Indians are 2nd highest registered users of social networking site after Brazilians. So, this topic is focusing the internal issue of India primarily the communal disturbance.

Well, you all know that I am writing many things on OrkutHeroes since 7 months and while searching for my articles and interviews I used to visit 100s of profiles and communities everyday, in this ride of search for some outstanding people and communities. I many times come across some very outstandingly hurtful profiles and communities where people are thirsty of blood by flaming one’s religion, spreading hatred and disharmony and inserting this poison more into these selective youth who are more advanced, broad minded and politically smarter than those who never comes online or those who don’t know to operate computers.

The fanatics from both Hindus and Muslims made communities and groups on orkut taking oath against each other and promising to have blood bath war soon….even some respected and active communities have these topics going very hot these days. I wish they can think once keeping their ego aside that who will be benefited by their hatred? Who will laugh on India? I am sure no Indian wants to see blood on roads, burnt houses or death funerals, than why? Why spoiling future of yours and your coming generation?

NO!! My bland sermon is not yet over so please carry on reading….Orkut is a place for fun and learn and no parents wants their child to learn hatred, terrorism or communal disharmony though no religion in this world teaches hatred but social networking can be a school of “religious hatred” If we didn’t took any serious and firm step against these hate spreaders and virtual social terrorists.

Whatever you do online, either chatting with girlfriends or playing games or searching something useful for your next school project Its very clear that internet is attached to our life to much extent and this virtual world has some real effects on our real world so whatever you are learning or doing in this virtual world naturally it is effecting that real world waiting outside your computer room or cyber café or where ever you are surfing the internet.

I am not an excellent writer or an editor but I am an Indian and I wrote something which was disturbing me from long and may be disturbing you as well I found no better place than this blog. I am proud to be Indian but not happy to see how weakly and pessimistically Indians are reacted and easily forgot the story their grandparents use to tell them. Easily forgot those heart touching movies on freedom fighting and wars they watched with their friends and hided those tears coming out. Try to take lesson from past and try to be affirmative and loving as you were since hundreds of years.

Let’s try from orkut and let’s make this dream successful, just don’t say but love India in a real way.

I want to make a Hindu a better Hindu, a Muslim a better Muslim, a Christian a better Christian- Mother Teresa.

If you saw a newborn baby without his/her family – would you know the religion/caste etc? No. So accept each person that way. Let us all respect each other
