Emotions on Social Networking- Worth?

Author: Tara
I was surfing through Orkut today and I came across some communities which say,’I love coffee’, ‘broken heart’, ‘oh God! Please forgive me’. ‘love never dies’, ‘hum-tum’, ‘love is not always easy’, ‘eyes never lie’, ‘last page of my notebook’, ‘I hate to wake up early’, ‘teenage love’, and what not! The list goes on and on and on….What do you think about these communities? You think no one could even join them? Or no one has time to get active on such notes, then here my friend you are wrong. Go to search box of the page and type any feelings that simply comes up in your mind. And hit it. There you are with around 15 communities at least with the same topic. Why? Any answers to this question?? Think!
No?
What does these communities, their member count (which is for sure in thousands) and their post count proves? Does it proves that we are all unemployed chunk of people who don’t have anything else to do ,other then joining community on a social networking site like orkut and display our feelings and discuss them with unknown people, whether we like cold coffee or hot coffee? Or we are so insane that we go on and discuss our personal life publically? Or we are the only one who loves their MOM and DAD? Are we a rare specie in the world who love their country and are fans of Hollywood and Bollywood stars? These are the questions which pops up, to name a few….

Look at the other side….
We were born and brought up in not-so-conservative family but then, we were always busy and involved in one or the other short term goal of our life. Initially it was the school examination which used to come up ,a week later the previous exam’s result. Then something else and then again something else and it continued. In the run, we had so many friends, with whom we laughed, partied and enjoyed a lot. But did we ever realized what we like and what not and our likes and dislikes matter so much to us and to people around us? Did we ever got a chance to meet and discuss so many things with our like minded people and feel tranquil? Whom to go and tell that I shout on my mom but then I really love her and respect her. Whom to tell ,that I love a guy but I am afraid to tell him. How can I go and discuss my secrets with a girl who knows me personally and knows everyone in my family and friends? Will I not fear that all this can become public? But when I am an unknown figure on a social networking site, and discuss all this to someone who don’t even know me ,but is like me, wouldn’t I get a solution?…….again there’s a long list to be thought about..
I leave everything on you to decide……
