Michael Jackson,”King of Pop” that is how world recognizes him for quite subsequent years. Michael Joseph Jackson, born on Aug 29, 1958 in Gary, Indiana. is an American Singer, songwriter, record producer, arranger, dancer, choreographer, actor, businessman, and financier. MJ is a man who made people of all age group, dance on his numbers for more then a decade now. In this journey of more then 50 years he came across many controversies, related to his personal life like, his face surgery, charges of sexual and child abuse. But all this do not let him go off the minds and heart of his fans. He has been cited one of the world’s most famous men. You can still see people dressed like him in different music events organized. In one line we can say that he gave the world a new definition of break dance, being an Afro- American. Jackson has also raised millions of dollars for beneficial causes and charity. There is lot more about Jackson to be written about but it needs an entire book and this article could not do justice to it.

There is no big deal in talking about his fans because he is a hero for the music and dance lovers all over world, but what I want to portray is, we have always seen fans meeting ,doing party ,wearing t-shirts printed MJ’s name or picture on it, dancing like him and we also know that their must be thousands of his fans online as well ,but have you ever thought what these fans can do by creating an online community on any of the social networking site? Yes, the question comes up is what do they do? Here I got the answer when came across the community Michael Jackson on orkut.com.

The English MJ community was started by an American guy in February 2004, but it was not really active and last year Alexandre Montagna from Brazil took it over. He found Rita, who prefers to be called EMJ, and works in Mumbai for an IT firm, to be a big time MJ Fan and found her capable of being given the responsibility of the moderator and then the community flourished like never before and today it is here being tagged as a WOW!.

While surfing on Orkut you will find many MJ’s Fans community but this community is the cleanest and SPAM free. Recently they went through a clean up session and that’s why if you will visit the community you will find very less threads. But all existing ones are worth. Any poll needs to get moderator approval to start. The community does not supports music piracy, and no threads are allowed for gaming (non-MJ), or topics not linked to MJ. Doing all this was tough for EMJ and another moderator Suryeah but then they continued following their rules which made few people infuriated as well but they continue to struggle and make their community an idol place for everyone with latest reports and assessments.

The community provides you with some of the best and revealing threads. Each thread has its own reason to stay like, ‘MJ’s videos’, ‘MJ’s unreleased tracks’ or ‘MJ Experiences’ or ‘King of Pop quiz’ or ‘The MJ chat thread’. Regular feedback is taken and members are always encouraged to come up with new and creative ideas like the recent one,’ Hall of Fame’. The community makes each effort possible to bring in light Michael Jackson’s true talent and pay tribute to their idol in every probable way.

Dismayed by the ways MJ is always been dragged into controversy and really annoyed with the media, EMJ says, that there is no proof for whatever MJ is been charged of and it’s sad that people still do not know the entire truth and do not even try to acknowledge the facts, in a discussion on Rated -WOW! Unfortunately, we live in society where people get their kicks from hurting others images, no matter how dirty and disgusting it goes.
