Don’t Want Buzz in Your Gmail Inbox?-New Features to Control Your Buzz

Posted by : on March 16, 2010 – 4:06 pmNo Comment

Yesterday when I was busy writing my next Twitter Tutorial for you, I missed one important update from Gmail blog. Somehow, later I came to know that one of the most awaiting features of controlling your Google Buzz by setting which buzz posts you want to see in your inbox is now fully functional and can get customize directly from your Gmail settings option. Thanks to my friend Aditya who posted this information on his blog.

Now no annoying buzz posts in your inbox. Just go to your inbox settings and decide how you want to see buzz in your inbox. Check how it looks,

Buzz in your inbox

1.People comment on my post – (When somebody commented on your post in buzz.)

2.People comment on post after I comment on them – (When somebody commented on any buzz post you commented)

3.People comment on post after I @replied on them – When people comment on post where you replied.

You will find post being delivered to your inbox only if any of the above 3 options you enabled.

Display following list: I really needed this one, I don’t want to show whom I am following and who are following me because Google Buzz is not twitter, they are disclosing emails which can be misused by anyone.

Show Google Buzz in Gmail or Don’t show Google buzz in Gmail. The latter one will just hide the buzz tab from your Gmail but won’t delete the service. Still there is a choice of disabling Google Buzz completely, that’s your choice.

What else? It’s not an end here but it’s just a small start of Buzz modifications and changes by Google, I hope lots of new buzz features are on the way.
