How To: 3 Basic Tweeting Mechanisms
Most of the new twitter users or those who are not early social media adopters but always fond of learning and discovering new and creative internet platforms often get confused when it comes to “What to tweet on Twitter?”. This article is all about tweeting for beginners.
I always stick to one thing throughout my life “Always Follow Your Passion”. Since you are doing something which you love to do, the output will be extremely thriving than doing things which are either being forced or less interesting to you. Same with tweeting on twitter, if you follow your passion, people will follow you and ultimately credibility will follow you. So the simple answer to “What to tweet on twitter?” is Tweet what you are passionate for.
But there are several points to be taken care while tweeting, it is not necessary that everyone will accept and admire your passion. You may find people who think just opposite to you, better be away from such people. In my last tutorial I have focused on how to find appropriate people to follow according to your like, need and intention behind using twitter. In this article we will check 3 basic mechanisms of tweeting you should always remember i.e Subject, Content and Engagement.
- Subject To Tweet
- Content to Tweet
- Engagement with Fellow Tweeps

Twitter is most effective way of sharing and learning. I love to tweet everything related to internet because that’s my favorite subject. I get followed by people who share same interest and I follow mostly those who follow me or those whom I admire. Certainly because of my subject I made a group of some really nice friends and professionals related to social media marketers, professional bloggers and twitter enthusiasts. Coming back to you, if you are passionate for let say gardening, start tweeting about new gardening resources, techniques, tips etc. Needless to ask that what will you tweet if you are a science passionate, accounting professional or a pro blogger. Twitter is made just for tweeting, so just do it but adhere to your subject of interest. More you will tweet more you will be recognized by your tweeples.

If you understood that why it’s important to tweet, than its time to move further. I mentioned in my first point that what you should tweet if you are gardening passionate. All those gardening related tips and tricks…right? But from where and how? There are several ways to find great resources on web. One very popular way of finding good resource is through search engines like Google and Yahoo but that’s prove ineffective when we need to explore fresh and latest news and information right after it get published anywhere on web. Point to be noted here: “Tweet fresh and unexplored content, nobody likes old news on twitter”
Alright, here are some top 7 ways I use to get latest news and information to tweet every day.
Google Alerts – Google Alert will find all those latest content posted anywhere on web, related to key words you desire and will email you with all relevant articles concerned with keyword you made an alert for. Simply add those keywords and set an alert, you will start receiving Google alerts in your inbox. I alerted many keywords related to my interest, like Social Media, Google Buzz and Online Communities etc. That’s the best way to get latest content everyday for tweeting.
All Top – Alltop has loads of quality contents from many popular blogs and websites all over the web, the best thing is alltop will show you 5 latest content posted on all websites listed under alltop’s different categories like science, religion, fashion, gaming, technology etc.
Google Reader: Another effective service by Google which will help you keeping track with what’s going on your favorite blogs. Google reader reads RSS and Atom feeds of websites linked to it. Just subscribe to any website feeds through Google reader and you will be updated with latest news every time the site publishes it.
Digg – What people are digging on web today? See what is trending, all latest hot topics can get on digg.com. It is useful if you wanted to explore latest stories to tweet.

What do want to look like on Twitter? A tweet bot without humanly emotions or a person with sense of humor, friendliness and care? Twitter is all about making relations by engaging in conversations. Engage with your fellow tweeps, show them what you are as a personality and what do you think about them. No matter whatever you tweet and how much you tweet every day, without a proper and healthy engagements you will land nowhere on twitter.
Last but most effective way to learn tweeting is observing trendsetters and masters of twitter who impressively win trust of hundreds and thousands of followers’ everyday by providing them rich, resourceful content and even sometimes entertain others with their funny tweets.
