How Much Your Facebook Page Worth?

Posted by : on May 13, 2010 – 6:48 amNo Comment

Vitrue a social media management company has developed a new tool, The Social Page Evaluator which can determine the value of a Facebook Page. This is going to help marketers in understanding the value of Social Media. It also allows comparison among three other pages, and displays Media Value, current and potential also.

Enter the url of the page whose value you wish to determine in the window and click the submit button.

You will see complete information like number of fans, media value and interactions.

If you wish to compare this page with three other pages click on “Compare with other brands” just enter the urls and the comparison is ready.

The Social Page Evaluator works on the same formula which Vitrue released last month to estimate the relative value of Facebook Fans to big brands. The tool was developed in 63 hours, it is adjustable and interactive. For instance, the base rate of Earned Media Value (or CPM in more traditional terms) is $5, but this can be adjusted to a higher or lower value depending on the brand in question.

Likewise, there is a “Fan-tasize” section that lets you manipulate other features like number of posts per day, engagement level and Fan count to see how that affects the valuation.

It is difficult to say how accurate this tool is as it is not able to evaluate small pages(in terms of fans) or companies.
