Twitter Might Introduce New Feature “You Both Follow”

Posted by : on June 4, 2010 – 8:14 amOne Comment

There is news that might change or very closely will affect the way you use twitter. It is been said that twitter is testing new feature, known as “You Both Follow”. Though it’s not announced officially but Nick Kallen, twitter’s employee confirmed this via a tweet.

You Both Follow look and work similar like facebook mutual friends. It will show you the list of people you and another person are following. The list will appear on your twitter profile sidebar.

Kallen’s tweet said that only 10% of twitter users have this feature available, and if this proves a value providing feature then it might be available for all twitter users soon.

I find it really “in need” feature to make myself more reachable through twitter. Mutual Friends on Facebook is too much effective for a person to trust any stranger who has more mutual friends than a person with no mutual friend. It works as a trust builder and certainly create large network of mutual friends. This might work nicely on twitter too.

I don’t know how others will react on “You Both Follow” on twitter, but it shows twitter’s aim on emphasize it as a social network platform than just a media tool to share links.

I hope to see “You Both Follow” soon,

What do you say about it?
