Breaking News – OrkutHeroes Will be FlockPost

by zazo on April 2, 2010

There are two big news for you today, I intentionally skipped posting it yesterday to avoid anyone misunderstand it as an April fool prank.

The first big news, OrkutHeroes.com is soon going to be known as FlockPost.com; yes I finally decided to rename orkutheroes to a name with more flexibility and freedom to post anything other than orkut related stories. Few days back, I gave a small indication of future changes expected on this blog.

Second big news is, now I am not alone going to cover stories and articles on this blog. I have two dedicated social media geeks to support me. They are passionate about internet and everything related to internet. If you had noticed, last 3 posts were published by guest authors Piyush Paliwal and Puneet Sahalot, now they are in, as co-authors of this blog. I met them personally and they are simply wonderful with knowledge and ideas they have. Most impressive is their dedication to do something good for others, for their own selves and for society.

More about our new authors,

Puneet Sahalot is 19 years old Electronics and Communication Engineering student from Udaipur Rajasthan; He loves playing with wordpress codes, reviewing web applications, designing graphics and exploring new internet technologies. Being a geek Puneet also loves to write poetries. What to call him? A sentimentally emotional geek! That’s what Puneet Sahalot is. On this blog, Puneet will help you with latest social media news, tips and tricks.

Hmm...there he is in red, wearing specs!

……………………..

Piyush Paliwal is a 20 year old Computer Science Engineering student from Udaipur, Rajasthan. A head-to-toe social media crazy, a wordpress developer, active twitterer and tumblr user. He can live without food and water but can’t skip tweeting a single day. Piyush will help you with his detailed reviews on open social applications, latest news on internet technology and social networking. He loves travelling so don’t worry if he disappear for few days.

What about the mission of orkutheroes, featuring best online people and communities?

The mission will continue, orkut communities will remain our priority. Then, blog reviews and interviews of successful online community owners, moderators, bloggers and social media professionals. To make it more resourceful we are going to publish helpful articles and tips to our social media passionate audiences.

Why Flock Post?

Flock means herd or a group, it taken here as a group of people which indicates online communities, where as post mean place or a station. Combining both Flock and Post means a center point for online communities. We find it a perfect alternative for orkutheroes which is based on the concept of online communities.

Any new design or blog theme in next few days/weeks/months?

Yes we are re-designing the new custom theme for FlockPost and within a month we will launch it. You can subscribe to orkutheroes by email and keep in touch with the latest update and orkutheroes makeover.
