You Both Follow look and work similar like facebook mutual friends. It will show you the list of people you and another person are following. The list will appear on your twitter profile sidebar.

Kallen’s tweet said that only 10% of twitter users have this feature available, and if this proves a value providing feature then it might be available for all twitter users soon.

I find it really “in need” feature to make myself more reachable through twitter. Mutual Friends on Facebook is too much effective for a person to trust any stranger who has more mutual friends than a person with no mutual friend. It works as a trust builder and certainly create large network of mutual friends. This might work nicely on twitter too.

I don’t know how others will react on “You Both Follow” on twitter, but it shows twitter’s aim on emphasize it as a social network platform than just a media tool to share links.

Tdash.org is a simple and nice browser based client for twitter which helps you organize your tweeting more effectively.

In a very first look I found it too simple and boring, but as I started exploring tdash, the features are really impressive and best to organize my twitter activities.

I would like to share it features, specialties and way to use.

Before that let me tell you that there is no need of registration on tdash, you can directly use tdash from your twitter username and password, it shortens long URLs with bit.ly

So let’s start with start!

You will notice a Left Column with the following selections

Left Column Options

1. Friends
2. Lists
3. Folder
4. Toolbox
5. Trends

How it works?

Friends

• Friends is the list of number of people you are following on Twitter
• The number mention in bracket with every username are their no. of tweets you did not read
• If you click a particular username, you will see their number of latest tweets in center of page. As soon as you mark all read the username will disappear from the list till it get refresh again
• All friends are listed alphabetically, it is arranged in a manner that you will not miss any important tweets.
• After selecting a particular tweet, you can easily reply, retweet, fav or quick RT.

Lists

• Lists is the same feature of List on your twitter account, tdash shows the complete lists in same way it shows for “Friends”
• The number you might notice in the bracket is the number of tweets in a particular list you haven’t yet read.
• It works exactly same like Friends
• You can reply, retweet or quick rt. You will see an option of DM only if the username is following you too.

Folders

• Folders contain another 4 different folders like Mentions, Inbox, Outbox and Favorites
• In Mentions you can the whole conversation in “threaded way”, this is best to know how the talk went.
• Inbox and Outbox are your received and sent DMs
• Favorite is the list of all your starred tweets

Tool Box

• This is one very interesting and useful feature to underline the clicks you did lastly.
• A click, to be precise is a link attached with a tweet you find interesting to click.
• This feature will help you to get back to the link you might forget.

Trends

• All top 10 twitter trends listed in this folder.

Multiple Accounts

I won’t miss one more good option in left column, check the top of left column, you will find an option where you can switch to another twitter account. Tdash allows you to enter multiple accounts.

Center or Main area of tdash

From top:

1. That empty white box is an area to update your tweet.
2. Right below it is “fetch now” is just another word of “refresh” this will refresh the data and update all latest tweets after you read or marked it “mark folder as read”
3. Share a picture allows you to upload any pic from your desktop, as soon as you upload, it will directly publish to your twitter account and generate a direct link to it.
4. Next to share a photo, you can list newer or older tweets on top.
5. Next and the last option is “More”. Select the drop down which says “theme” you can choose many good theme to change the look of your tdash dashboard.

Stalkers and Spammers are the bane of twitter. There is no magic formula for getting followed. You just need to tweet sensibly, have a clearly defined twitter strategy, create a trusted ring of friends and tweet things that are contemporary and not trivial. It takes perseverance and a lot of hard work to get followers on twitter. It is all about building trust and relationships. Twitter is about sharing and not selling. Remember that and you will do good!

Care also needs to be exercised when expressing opinions about religion or groups. Twitter is like molding clay, in the right hand, it is ART, in the wrong ones…..

We Indians are brought up in a shell, talking in school is punished and even our schooling discourages communication skill development as a malaise, although we are educated, we are not expressive. That is why you are seeing this trend. We are a much closeted society and we need to come out of the shackles and be expressive. Twitter is just another platform for expression.

The farmer, the teacher, the scientist and the Governor – all need to have internet for social media to click in India.

There are Twitter users who are the trend setters and inspiration to millions of other twitter users, these people are dedicated professionals, high spirited and certainly the best to be known as leaders in their respective fields of profession.

Though, I have listed many top and best tweeples in past but this list is significantly different.

Here, this time I have listed or the best way to say, I’ve tried to list down 10 outstanding, most followed, most listed and ultimate Indian/Indian origin Tweeples who are masters in Social Media, Internet Marketing and/or Technology.

This is also first time I tried to give ranking to these magnificent personalities you should follow if you are still not following them.

How I listed them as top 10?

From my very small knowledge on social media and online credibility, I tried to figure out their ranks by comparing their number of twitter followers, number of users they are following, number of times they are listed and how many times they tweeted.

The other important aspect I considered here is how these top 10 people affected their followers, how they performed with their specialties and their impact on their audiences or clients was. I tried to compare the success meter of these individual by small research I did for them outside twitter.

You may find that I did not only consider their number of followers while listing them in top 10.

I am in no way claiming my list as perfect or best. It’s upon you to decide. The only intention of mine by creating this list is to share some of my most favorite Indian Tweeples.

I will come up with more such list of Indian Tweeples in future.

On twitter, people wants to have a large following. As we all know that larger the following is better the reputation is. Few more stars are added to reputation if following contains big names like Bill Gates or Sachin Tendulkar. But it is quiet impossible for a normal person to have such celebrities following him. A bug on twitter can make this possible. Just by writing “ accept @username” then the [username] immediately starts following you. You can make anyone on twitter follow you.

The bug appears to have originally been noticed by a Turkish blog, followed by the blog Webrazzi, which successfully tested it out and forced the Twitter accounts of industry luminaries like Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and Twitter CEO Evan Williams to follow a dummy profile. The flaw allowed members to add followers to their own accounts, basically, by tweeting “accept” followed by “@” and any given Twitter user name.

Twitter spokesman Sean Garrett admits that the bug is real and in order to find a solution to this problem first step taken was the disabling of Follower/following counts. It’s not yet clear how long the bug had been in existence or whether it could potentially give Twitter users access to the contents of “protected” accounts in which all tweets are private.

Making it impossible for users to take an undue advantage of it. If you try to check whether bug is working or not by clicking the followers button still you will not find anything now onwards.

Earlier this day using this bug many people made Conan O Brain follow them. Previously, the comedian was famously only following one person Sarah Killen.
