Popular social networking site Facebook is becoming a home of video viruses these days.
After the “Sexiest Video Ever” comes a new video virus “Distracting Beach Babes.” On one of your friend’s wall you may see video with this title. On clicking on it you are redirected to a page downloading malware on your computer and same non existing video is re posted on your own wall.
The message states the following:
<name>, this is hilarious! lol
Distracting Beach Babes [HQ] Length: 5:32
Many users have intimated their friends about this virus.
The best way to protect yourself is to not to click on any such lucrative video or link.
By mistake if you have clicked it then run an updated virus scan on your computer as earliest as possible.
Worried of the privacy issue most of the manpower working on other applications of facebook has been reallocated to come up with a permanent solution to this mayhem. The bitter consequence is that from past ten days Facebook has stopped updating application statistics. None of the developers is able to track performance of his application or of the competition. We expect the statistics will be updated soon.
An old Indian saying states that “When misfortune and bad times come in someone’s life they surround him from all sides.”
