Here is the news we were waiting for long. Finally, facebook has decided to refurbish its widely debated issue globally; privacy issue.
In next couple of weeks you can see some very simple and more user controlled privacy options on your account. There are 3 major changes they did to calm the user outburst regarding facebook privacy.
1. Now facebook gives you one single control on what you wish to share with your network, this control will remain inert for new future products facebook launch, so if you want to share your content with only friends then facebook will set future settings to friends only. So, no changes needed on your part if new setting comes in future.
………………………………
2. Facebook is shortening the amount of basic information visible to everyone, from now you can control on who can see your friends and pages, this will really make your account very private. You can control this from privacy page in Basic Directory Information. Its better if make these settings open to everyone so that people who know you can find you easily.
………………………………
3. If you don’t play games or use any applications on facebook then here is a very effective way to turn off the platform easily, by doing this none of the application or website can get your personal information. Before, your personal information was open for all including partner site of facebook if you enable “visible to everyone” now you can completely turn it off.

Is this enough to answer the critics? I think enough for now. What more we can expect from them, although there is nothing for community pages which facebook had linked with user personal profile. Also, no changes in the concept of “like/unlike” and “be a fan”.
How do you take this? Are you satisfied with this another version of Facebook Privacy Policy? I would love to hear from you.
