New Twitter Feature:Quoted Tweets

by Puneet Sahalot on May 4, 2010

Twitter will today launch a new feature for its users which will allow the users quote tweets directly from the twitter page. The only way to quote someone’s tweets till date was to capture a screenshot and present it to your readers. But with this feature you simply need to embed an HTML snippet in your post and you can quote the tweet exactly as it is on author’s page. The embedded tweet would also include author’s avatar and a link to author’s twitter page.

Twitter Media Blog presents an example of ReadWriteWeb’s article which has showcased some interesting tweets about HP’s acquisition of Palm by placing the screenshots.

Here is an example of how this new feature will work: twitter-quotes-example

This new feature would surely help reduce the efforts of writers and will certainly help   prevent the misuse of tweets. Also, the content could now be read by the Search Engine Bots there by improving the SEO.
