Search quality and features of Google has replaced the term ‘search(ing)’ with its own ‘Googling’. Googling the maps were all done to find the location of a place. Now, to locate yourself what should you do? Google for the nearby market areas or a well known place? No..!! Now it’s “Where am I” that has to be done.
What it is:
Google has launched the new search feature for its mobile search users. This new feature is “Where am I”. It helps you locate yourself on the map.
How to use:
All you need to do is go to Google.com on your phone, type in “where am I” in the search box and then ‘Google It’ and wonder about your own whereabouts no more. With this feature you are not ‘lost’. J
Availability:
Since the feature is in development process. It is available only for U.S. users.
Limitations:
This is an alpha release and hence the results might be slightly off. However, accuracy should improve with greater usage. So, if at first the answer is not what you’d expect, please continue to try it over the next couple of days and ask your friends to do the same.
