When was the first time you heard the word “reiki”? I mean to ask, how the journey to become a Reiki Grandmaster has started.
I first learned Reiki out of curiosity. Then went ahead, and Reiki pulled me into teaching it as a profession.
Who is your idol in the world of Reiki? Whose character has overwhelmed you through out your life?
Dr. Mikao Usui. He was a sage. Dr. Mikao Usui is a person to be a real idol.
Reiki is still unknown to most part of the world. What do you think? Can it be successful like other medical therapies?
I am working to document Reiki Results and present them to IMA to get recognition to this science as an alternate medical science.
Can you please share with us the most unforgettable Reiki treatment you had ever done?
Unforgettable treatment with Reiki for me is not on any human being; it is on nature… In the year 1998, when I was about to sleep, I saw a strip of cyclone alert on TV screen. It was raining too heavily as well. I checked with the concerned departments over the phone, and on confirming the alert, started giving Reiki to protect Mumbai from cyclone, but suddenly I remembered that last time, when I had done so, cyclone had got diverted elsewhere… So, this time, I decided to work on the entire west coast of India… I was giving Reiki, creating protecting walls to prevent sea from damaging any of the coastline areas… Then I went mentally into the sea where cyclone was suspected to origin and healed the relationship of all the 5 elements in that area. This work continued from 12 midnight till 4 am. But by the end I felt Reiki has stopped going, Rain had stopped and sky was clear… That was something quite powerful, as since then there has been no cyclone or sea related problem on the west coast of India.
When did you got introduced with the social networking site orkut and how did you thought to use this internet tool to spread your passion Reiki?
Sometime in Feb 2007 and when I saw the communities, I thought of helping people out with it. It had a good response.
What any one need in him or her to become a reiki healer? Any basic points you want to share?
Anyone can become a Reiki healer. The only qualification needed is desire to help people.
There are many misconceptions about Reiki among most of the common citizens; some thinks it’s a cult or its some kind of magic. Can you please explain it what reiki is, in a laymen term?
People who do not know Reiki or have a half baked knowledge, spread misconceptions of reiki. In simple words, I will say, Reiki is GOD ALIVE. It can heal without medicines.
Dr. Kale what is your favorite pastime activities? What you love to do when not giving any training/treatment?
My favorite pass time activities are writing. I keep writing on different subjects in my free time, and later compile it into books.
What is your ultimate aim in life?
“I AM” the ultimate aim… Merging of I & AM is aim… I within am… When you merge your ego with your being, you become one with the grace… Then, you just witness the world going… Support when needed, else let the harmony happen.
Your communities on orkut are successful in terms of activities, didn’t you ever thought to start your own website? Or any such plans in future?
I have http://www.rekhaakale.com, and some sites in geocities that I will have to move to Google sites before geocities close down in October 2009.
Would you like to name those people who helped you, supported you and stand by you in all your ups and downs in life?
The list is really very long… If I mention some names, others will feel offended. Yet, I am thankful to all those who helped me in life and are helping still.
Any particular message you want to convey to all reiki trainers, grandmasters and students by the medium of this interview?
Be True to Yourself. Live Reiki if you teach it, thanks all, respect all know that Reiki is God Alive and those who are reiki channels have grace of God with them for life.

Reiki is one of the unproven alternative medicines although some Japanese practice it and the temperature of hands seems to be above boiling point.. you can find those videos on youtube, its a mystery and a controversy.
I would like to see more scientific data supporting the facts and tests conducted in this unknown area to know the truth.
