In competition to Streamy, Friend Feed and Tweet Deck, now comes Spindex a new Social Media Aggregator from the Microsoft’s FUSE labs.
Social Media Aggregator collects feeds and comments from different social media sites in one application. This software was designed to make it easier for users to collect information from his accounts on different sites. But these days lists of our friends and their comments grow at such a fast pace that aggregator dumps 10-100 comments and feeds per minute. This makes it difficult for user to find important information from the pile.
The major difference in Spindex and other Social Media Aggregator is that it is more personalized to its user as compared to others. Spindex works on indexing and archiving with the help of Microsoft’s search engine Bing. According to user’s interest and preferences Spindex seeks relevant information and passes on to user from the ongoing conversations; it ignores the useless or non relevant information. It lets you find out more about the topics that your friends and feeds are talking about in one click – so you can jump into the conversation.
Spindex allows user to bookmark items for future references and you can also add certain items to favorites.
With Evernote being a part of Spindex you can keep a track of things you are remembering. Trending Topics of Spindex goes much deeper than Twitter.
Still Spindex is in Testing Phase, anyone with Microsoft Live account can check it.
Features and Promises made by Spindex indicate that it will be an Ace in Social Media Aggregators and will work more like a personal Social Media Assistant.
