Today after few days of Eid celebration I managed to check my inbox and got the mail of Priyanka, a well known Indian Parenting community owner on orkut and a business woman from Thailand. She made me shock with the news that Indian Parenting community was hacked and deleted. The message was to all community members, though I am not very active or known to other community members but its my duty being a member of such a great, powerful and really happening community of orkut which helped not only a new dad like me but helping many other heartfelt Indian parents on orkut from all over the world.
It was 4 months back from now when I was blessed with a baby boy who was detected by jaundice just after 2 days of his birth and many confusions and fears was striking over my mind, it was pretty natural for a new dad like me. Considering orkut my second home I searched for some help and discovered Indian Parenting, before joining I also checked related communities but none was so active and helpful like Indian Parenting, I joined and got pleased by the welcome from many parents who were strange to me that time. When I started a thread related to my baby’s condition the response was wonderful and undoubtedly they were no more strangers to me now.
Like me there were many parents who shared their problems and got solution or even if not solution than still a moral support which sometimes act like a medicine, one such thread I remember is of a female member whose friend (not the member of the community) was blessed by a baby girl but with a critical condition of undeveloped liver and was on ICU for many days. I remember who Indian Parenting community members were worried and took every day updates from that female member and prayed so much. After 1-2 months when I saw that thread it was with a good news about the baby that she is recovering and signs are positive, the joy among the members were like its their own baby.
Such a strong and bond in so many good people. I don’t believe that they can do anything bad or against the orkut terms and service, but how the community got deleted.According to Priyanka it was hacked and deleted, this makes a question on how secure is orkut communities from hackers. Though, the reasons are still not clear but more than 4000 mothers and fathers of Indian Parenting are surely in a big shock and hope to get their best place online back.
By the medium of OrkutHeroes I also want to spread this message and want to make all unite to request orkut officials to help us and we are with Priyanka who did a real hard work for making such a great place like Indian Parenting.
